When installing your mailbox to your new Mayne Mail Post, the steps to follow will depend on the type of support arm you have.
Attaching the Mailbox to our Standard Arm: In order to install your Mailbox to the Mayne Post Arm, you will need a mounting board (a pressure treated board cut to the appropriate size to fit into the lip of the bottom of the Mailbox). Most Mailboxes come with a lip on the bottom and it is very important that the mounting board can sit flush inside the mailbox.
Step 1) When the mounting board is cut to size, use wood screws to attach the board to the mailbox arm at a 90-degree angle.
Step 2) Once the board is securely in place attach the mailbox to the board with screws through the holes on each side of the mailbox.
Please note: Mounting board, Mailbox, and mailbox hardware not included
Attaching the Mailbox to the Newspaper holder: In this case, the mounting board is not required.
Step 1) Pre-drill 4 holes with a 3/8" drill bit through the mailbox and paper holder arm.
Step 2) Using a nut, bolt, and washer combination secure the mailbox to the arm and tighten (2" Bolts are recommended).
Please note: Mailbox and hardware not included
